I was quite fortunate to get government job in department of school education=Dr Ritu Kumar

Dr. Ritu Kumra was born in late seventeen’s on 29th August at Mr. Vijay Kumar Kumra 

and Kusum Kumra ‘s house in middle class family. I took my whole schooling from Mount 

Carmel school, kakkon, Hsp. From my childhood only I was interested to teach as a professor 

in college. I was quite fortunate to get government job in department of school education, 

Punjab. In very young age, I lost my mother but my father was quite confident that I in my 

first attempt clear my UGC NET EXAM after Post Graduate completion from Government 

college HSP. But no one know destiny. Yes, I cleared this exam but after my father also died 

in 2009. Then the journey of my research work started and husband Mr. Mohit Ohri always 

supported me in this journey. Even my two kids my daughter Dheeptha and son Saransh were 

also very supportive to accomplish my goals. I completed my MPhil degree from Guru,

Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and B. Ed degree from Punjabi University Patiala. In 2016 

joined Lovely Professional University as a part time research scholar. I completed PHD

degree in economics in 2020. Till the date I have attended 5 international Conferences and 5 

national seminars at different places which show the excellence of my research work. I also 

recently wrote a book on Rural self-employment training institutes in Punjab. Three of my 

research papers are published in Scopus journals. Further I just want to say to all the women 

go after your dreams of success surely you will get success if you chase your dreams with 

great efforts and hard work and come out of your comfort zon
