Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa said that a 100-feet high national flag will soon be installed here to enhance the beauty of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk of the city. He said that in a big effort, the net of electric wires passing over the memorial located here has been removed. He said that now there will be no problem while paying homage at the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, because there was always fear of accident due to the electric wires passing right above. He said that ever since this roundabout was built, this problem of wires was being faced.
The cabinet minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is making desperate efforts to create the Punjab of the dreams of the martyrs. He said that Bhai Maharaj Singh, Baba Ram Singh, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Udham Singh, Kartar Singh Sarabha, Madan Lal Dhingra, Ram Kumar Bismil and Dr. There were hundreds of such warriors like Diwan Singh Kalepani, thanks to whose sacrifices we are enjoying the warmth of freedom today.
