Under the guidance of Secretary Punjab state Legal Services Authority SAS and under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman Dilbag Singh Johal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority-cum-CJM Aparajita Joshi visited village Ghogra and Sagran of sub-division Dasuya. Parminder Kaur Bains, Additional Civil Judge-cum-Chairman, Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, Dasuya, was also present on the occasion.

Secretary District Legal Services Authority-cum-CJM Aparajita Joshi informed the villagers about the NALSA scheme 2010 and listened to the problems of the villagers affected by the flood. She assured that the problems would be taken up with the administrative authorities. Apart from this, panel advocate HS Hundal of sub-division Dasuya also gave detailed information about free legal aid to the villagers and about National Lok Adalats, State Lok Adalats and Permanent Lok Adalats (public utility services). She told that the decision of these Lok Adalats is final. There is no appeal against the decision of the Lok Adalat. This saves money and time and increases the mutual love of both the parties. She also clearly told that both pending and pre-litigative cases are heard in these Lok Adalats. Pending cases are those which are already going on in the courts and pre-litigative cases are those which are not going on in the courts like electricity bills, water bills, telephone bills, insurance company cases, bank cases etc. On this occasion, the National Lok Adalat to be set up on September 9, 2023 at the district level and sub-division level was also introduced. Para legal volunteer Jaspreet of sub-division Dasuya distributed free legal aid material and pamphlets of National Lok Adalats to the villagers. Para legal volunteer Pawan Kumar of District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur was also present on the occasion.

Secretary District Legal Services Authority also visited Front Office Dasuya during this period and also checked the proceedings register of Front Office. She ordered the front office retainers and para legal volunteers to work better.
