- Legal services-cum-relief camp organized by District Legal Services Authority for flood victims at Sala Khurd

As per directions of Punjab State Legal Services Authority and under the supervision and able guidance of Sh. Dilbagh Singh Johal, Ld. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur and Ms. Aprajita Joshi, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur, a Legal Services-cum-Relief Camp was organized in the flood affected Village Saila Khurd, Garhshankar of District Hoshiarpur. A Vehicle loaded with grocery items, dry ration, stationery items, Notebooks, School Bags, blankets, clothes etc. was flagged off by Sh. Dilbagh Singh Johal, Ld. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur from the New Judicial Court Complex, Hoshiarpur and the said aid was distributed to the residents of the affected village after collection from Judicial Officers and Staff members of Judicial Courts. Sh. Dilbagh Singh Johal, Ld. Chairman-cum-District & Sessions Judge Hoshiarpur urged the people of District Hoshiarpur to come forward for serving the people hit by floods. During the flag off, Ms. Jaswinder Sheemar, Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, Ms. Anjana, Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, Sh. Puneet Mohan Sharma, Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, Ms. Palwinder jit Kaur, Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, Sh. Rupinder Singh, Civil Judge (Senior Division), Hoshiarpur, Ms. Aprajita Joshi, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur and Judicial staff members were also present on the occasion.

                   Ms. Aprajita Joshi, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur said that she had earlier visited the village Saila Khurd, tehsil Garhshankar of District Hoshiarpur on 23.07.2023 to assess the requirements/ needs of the people affected by flash floods in the said village. After proper assessment, a flood relief camp was organized today by the District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur in the said village for people affected due to flood keeping in view the NALSA (Legal Services to Disaster Victims through Legal Services Authorities) Scheme, 2010. In addition to that, Ms. Aprajita Joshi, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur distributed relief material to the flood affected people and also appealed to the people from all sections of the society to come forward to help the needy.
