District Magistrate Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal has issued various restrictions in the district. Under which, using the powers obtained under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974), they have issued an order prohibiting the operation of illegal hookah bars within the limits of District Hoshiarpur. In the issued order, she said that tobacco, cigarettes and harmful chemicals are used in such hookah bars, which prove to be very harmful to human health and also have a negative impact on the society.
Similarly, owners of poultry farms/rice shellers/kilns and other small scale industries in the district as well as domestic servants have been ordered to submit the names of their subordinates, full address, three photographs (right , posed from left and front) keep registers.register this whole record immediately in the concerned police station or police station of the area.
Apart from this, to prevent the misuse of black film in vehicles within the district, the District Magistrate has imposed a complete ban on the misuse of black film on vehicle windows. The District Magistrate has also banned illegal boring in the streets/roads of all the villages of the district.
The District Magistrate has also banned the cutting of green mango, neem, pipal and banyan trees from the delisted area within the district limits. It has been instructed in the order that if it is necessary to cut the said trees in special circumstances, then they should be cut with the approval of the Forest Department. For this purpose, the same procedure will be adopted by the Forest Department, which is followed for issuing permits in closed area under Section-4 and 5 of the Punjab Land Protection Act-1900.
Similarly, District Magistrate Komal Mittal has imposed a complete ban on the burning of crop residues within a radius of one thousand yards (914 m) of the outer boundary wall of 18-Ammunition Depot, Uchi Bassi.
Issuing another order, the District Magistrate said that no person within the district limits will take their cattle to graze openly on roads or in public places.
The District Magistrate has issued orders to the village Sarpanchs to keep vigil at night to prevent the incidents of robberies and thefts in the villages. This order has been issued to ensure the safety of people's lives and property at night in the villages.
The District Magistrate has imposed a complete ban on the watering or bathing of cattle by any person in the large and small canals, Chow dam and Dhusi dam built on the banks of the Beas river within the limits of Hoshiarpur district.
Apart from this, the District Magistrate has issued an order banning the transportation of cattle from 6 pm to 6 am in summer and from 5 pm to 7 am in winter. Cows have been kept, orders have also been given to get them registered with the Animal Husbandry Department.
District Magistrate Komal Mittal has also banned unauthorized storage, transportation, use or sale of cement in Hoshiarpur district. This ban applies to all veterinary institutions including animal hospitals/dispensaries and polyclinics of Animal Husbandry Department, Punjab, Artificial Insemination Centers run by Animal Husbandry Department Punjab, Milkfed and College of Veterinary Science, Gadvasu Ludhiana, any other artificial insemination center which is animal husbandry. Department, processing and using Bovine Semen supplied or imported by Punjab, shall not apply to members of Progressive Dairy Farms Association, Punjab who have imported Bovine Semen only for the use of their cattle. All these orders will remain in force till November 8, 2023.
