Vigilance Bureau Hoshiarpur Unit today put up awareness posters at medical stores at different places in the district under the theme 'Oppose Corruption, Be Committed to the Country' related to Vigilance Awareness Week. This awareness campaign was led by DSP Manish Kumar under the guidelines of Chief Director Vigilance Bureau Punjab Varinder Kumar and Senior Police Captain Vigilance Bureau Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu. During this, the Bureau team informed the Sarpanch, Numberdar and other dignitaries of different villages about the working style of the Vigilance Bureau.

DSP Manish Kumar, while making village Panches, Sarpanches and Nabardars aware about stopping corruption, said that if any government officer, employee or their agent demands bribe for doing the work of the general public, then it should be reported. Vigilance department should be given this. Giving information about the working style of Vigilance Bureau, he said that if an officer or employee misuses his powers and gives personal or financial benefit to any person or organization, then it is a punishable offence. Apart from this, if any government employee, by misusing his position, by committing any scam in government funds or by cleverly committing corruption, purchases any benami property in the name of his family members or his relatives, then any person should give information regarding this to the Vigilance Department. Could. He said that the name of the person giving the information will be kept secret. During this, he told that any person can lodge his complaint on Vigilance Bureau's toll free number 1800-1800-1000, Anti Corruption Action Line number 95012-00200 issued by the Chief Minister Punjab and website www.vigilancebureau.punjab.gov.in.. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the Vigilance Bureau in the fight against corruption.
