Passing out parade and oath ceremony of Mahila Recruit Constables batch no. 261,262,263 & 264 was organized at Subsidiary Training Center, Border Security Force, Kharkan Camp Hoshiarpur on 11th November’2023 after completion Basic training, in which 587 Mahila recruit constables were  passed out as constables who will join  to their respective Units to protect the country.

On this occasion Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, IPS, SDG, BSF Special DG (Western Command) Chandigarh was welcomed as Chief Guest by Shri Azad Singh Malik, IG ,  STC BSF Kharkan and the other officers.

First of all, the Chief Guest was honored with General Salute by the parade. Thereafter, the Chief Guest inspected the parade and took salute from the marching columns. The Mahila recruit constables who excelled in various indoor and outdoor disciplines were awarded with medals by the chief guest.

After the parade, a cultural program was presented in which the recruit constables displayed traditional folk dances of different states as a splendid example of unity in diversity. The fusion dance performance on skilfully choreographed traditional and patriotic songs won the hearts of the audience enthralling the entire atmosphere at the Parade Ground. On this occasion all the staff of Subsidiary Training Center, Kharkan, their families, trainees, BSF retired officers and family members of these recruit constables and dignitaries of Hoshiarpur district were also present. The weapon handling performance presented on the occasion won the hearts of the audience. 

Addressing these recruits, the Chief Guest whole heartedly appreciated the excellent display of self-confidence, skill and coordination which was the hall mark of the parade.  He applauded the recruits for choosing BSF as career option and exhorted the recruits to serve the country with courage and enthusiasm and come out as shining inspiration for youth of the nation to shed hesitation and come forward to join forces on call of nation.

Chief Guest Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, IPS , SDG, BSF Special DG (Western Command) Chandigarh  also congratulated  Shri Azad Singh Malik, IG,  Sh. Ratnesh Kumar, Comdt (Trg) and Shri Birendar Kumar Second in Command  STC BSF Kharkan and all training staff for their successful efforts in achieving the objective of moulding these recruits into self-confident, disciplined and skilled praharis.  He blessed the recruits for a bright future in life and service.
