Trainee of Jagmohan's Institute of Traditional Karate (JITK) and international karate player Aaditya Bakshi performed brilliantly and won the gold medal in below 84 kg weight category in the North India Karate Championship held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. Proving his superiority over his opponents justified his selection in Punjab Karate team selected by Punjab Karate Association . Giving this information, Neeti Jagmohan Vij , Vice Chairperson of JITK said that Aaditya Bakshi, who is law student at Sarvanand Giri Regional Center of Panjab University, became eligible to participate in this competition by winning two gold medals in the state karate competition. Aaditya, who has represented India in international karate competitions held in Tokyo (Japan) and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is receiving training from internationally renowned karate instructor and referee Sensei Jagmohan Vij who is the only certified judge A of world Karate Federation ( WKF) in North India. Maintaining his excellent performance in the North India Karate Championship, Aaditya Bakshi also won a silver medal in his weight category in the Inter Zonal Karate Competition organised under the leadership of Hanshi Bharat Sharma, Mentor of Karate India Organisation ( KIO). About 1200 selected karate players from 26 states and 4 union territories of 5 zones participated in this national level competition.
