 Punjab Government committed to properly run Government Cattle Pound: Bram Shankar Jimpa

- Cabinet Minister along with Deputy Commissioner visited the Cattle Pound and took stock of the arrangements.

- Said, every need of Cattle Pound will be fulfilled on initiative basis.

Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa today along with Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal and social worker Seth Rohtash Jain visited the government cattle pound in village Falahi and took stock of the arrangements. He said that while the Punjab Government is committed to the proper running of the Cattle Pound, there is a huge contribution from the donors. He said that the generous people have contributed as much as possible to fulfill every need here and he hopes that this trend will continue in the future also.

During this period, the Cabinet Minister planted saplings in the Cattle Pound and learned about the needs there. He said that with the help of generous donors, many schemes are being worked on to change the face of the cattle pound and to manage the cattle coming here and meaningful efforts will be made in this direction in the future. He said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for us that the annual expenditure on this cattle pound is met at the level of donors, institutions, societies and NGOs. During this, he also sought suggestions from the village panchayat members and others regarding better operation of the cattle pound.

During this time, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials of the Animal Husbandry Department to ensure tagging of the animals. He told that in this government cattle pound located in Falahi, we take sick and injured animals on initiative basis. He said that it is a matter of great happiness that with public support the Cattle Pound is being run very well. During this, he praised the support being given to the Cattle Pound by social organizations and donors. He appealed to the cattle owners not to leave their animals unattended on the roads as they often become the cause of accidents. During this time, apart from Nodal Officer Government Cattle Pound Falahi Dr. Manmohan Singh Dardi, Lakshmi Narayan and other dignitaries were also present.
