- In view of the foggy weather, drivers were appealed not to park their vehicles on the road.

- Said, soon a campaign to put reflector tape around the neck of stray animals will be started.

Under the advisory issued by Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal to the residents and drivers of the district in view of the cold and foggy weather, today Secretary Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill launched a campaign to install reflectors behind big vehicles and tractor trolleys. Under this campaign, reflectors were installed behind about 67 vehicles and 135 tractor trolleys.

While installing reflectors on the vehicles, Secretary RTA Ravinder Singh Gill appealed to the drivers that the visibility of vehicles on the road gets reduced during fog and especially at night, hence they should install reflectors on the back and sides of the vehicles. He also asked not to park vehicles or tractor trolleys on the roads during this foggy season, so that road accidents can be avoided. He said that in the coming days, a campaign of putting reflector tape around the neck of stray animals is also being started, through which efforts will be made to prevent road accidents. Mohar Vehicle Inspector Leela Singh, NGO Road Safety Yogesh Kumar were also present on this occasion.
