Under Aapda Mitra Yojana, drill rehearsal was conducted on the fifth day to deal with disaster

Aapda Mitra Yojana has been started by the Government of India to provide relief during any kind of natural disaster in the country. Under this scheme, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Chandigarh and DDMA SBS Nagar started Aapda Mitra Training Camp in the district few days
ago, in which today on the fifth day, team from Mgsipa under the leadership of Course Director Prof. J.S. Bhatia ji (Senior Consultant , Mgsipa), is giving training to the volunteers to deal with the disaster. On the fifth day, drill rehearsal for rescue during earthquake was conducted and volunteers were trained do that they can deal during earthquake.Along with this, training was given about heat wave, lifting and stabilizing load, basic life support, cold wave, basic first aid and other disasters along with earthquake. In the above camp, Shruti Aggarwal (Consultant), Yogesh Uniyal (Coordinator), Gulshan Hira, Amanpreet Kaur, Sunil Jaryal, Harkirat Singh, Stanzin Sela, Kumari Noornisha, Yogesh Bhardwaj, Shubham Verma, Anshuman Sharda and Sachin Sharma are volunteers in this camp as instructors who are giving training to the volunteers.
