 Hoshiarpur tops in the entire state in providing government services at door step.

The district made a record with 88 percent service delivery rate.

- After approving the services of 558 people, till now certificates have been delivered to 525 people at their homes.

By calling toll free number 1076, Hoshiarpur residents are getting 43 types of government services sitting at home.

- 11 service assistants deployed in five tehsils in the district to provide services.

Within a month of the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann providing government services to the people at their doorstep, district Hoshiarpur has set a new record. Has achieved first position in the state by giving maximum door step delivery in the district.

Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that in one month, 597 applications were received from Hoshiarpur district, out of which 558 were approved and 39 are pending. 43 types of government services were provided to the people at their homes, out of which 525 people's work certificates have also been delivered to their homes. Accordingly, the state has taken the biggest leap in terms of service delivery rate of 88 percent. She said that the residents of the district can call toll free number 1076 to get the services available at 43 types of service centers sitting at home. After calling on this, they can tell the government representative at what time she can come to their house and take their photos or other documents and give them the benefit of government service. Whatever certificate will be made under the government service, it will also be given to the person at his home by a government representative.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the introduction of this service has provided great convenience to the people of the district and most of the people are no longer going to service centers or other government offices to avail government services. She said that due to this the crowd in the office is also reducing and people are getting government facilities sitting at home. She appealed to the residents of the district to avail these services as much as possible.

District IT Manager of Administrative Reforms Department, Ranjit Singh said that this service had started in Hoshiarpur district from December 11, 2023. Appealing to the citizens, he said that only after completing their file, they should book an appointment on toll free number 1076. He informed that in this regard, 11 service assistants have been deployed for five tehsils of the district. He said that till now most of the services are related to issuing birth certificate, making correction in birth certificate, caste, residence, old age pension, income and marriage certificate. He said that a citizen can avail maximum four services at a time.
