- District level National Voter's Day function will be held at Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Center, Punjab University.

District Sweep Nodal Officer Preet Kohli said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the district level National Voter's Day function will be celebrated on January 25 at 10:30 am in the auditorium of Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Center, Hoshiarpur. He said that Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal will attend the function as the chief guest. He was addressing the meeting regarding preparations for Voter's Day function at the District Administrative Complex today.

During this time, the District Sweep Nodal Officer asked all the officers present in the meeting to contribute in successfully conducting the National Voter's Day event. He said that India is the largest democratic country in the world and the role of voters has been important in making it successful and the Election Commission of India celebrates National Voter's Day on 25 January every year to make voters aware of their voting rights. And an important role is played in encouraging young voters.

Election Kanungo Deepak Kumar informed the officers of all departments and heads of educational departments present about the responsibilities assigned to them regarding the success of the program. He also asked everyone to perform their duty with full responsibility. On this occasion, election law officers Harpreet Kaur, Lakhbir Singh Singh, Megha Mehta, Deputy DEO Dheeraj Vashisht, Principal Shailender Thakur, Ankur Sharma and other dignitaries were also present.
