Today, on the Martyrdom Day of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country were remembered in the District Administrative Complex. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba, Assistant Commissioner (Complaints) Divya P and other officers and employees of different departments presented flowers to the picture of Mahatma Gandhi Ji. . During this, a contingent of Punjab Police paid his tribute . After this, all the officers and employees observed two minutes silence and remembered the sacrifice of the martyrs.

During this, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, while paying tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and other martyrs of the country, asked to adopt the ideals of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by following the path of truth, love and non-violence. He said that Mahatma Gandhiji, along with making an important contribution in the country's freedom struggle, had led the freedom struggle by following the path of non-violence and Satyagraha.
