 Big relief to traders under 'One Time Settlement Scheme' by Punjab Government: Dr. Navjot Sharma

Assistant Commissioner State Tax Dr. Navjot Sharma said that the Punjab government has started the 'One Time Settlement Scheme' (OTS) keeping in mind the interests of the traders of Punjab, in which great relief has been given to the traders whose assessment date has been fixed till 31.03.2023. She said that under this scheme, all taxpayers with tax liability up to one lakh rupees can avail 100 percent discount on the amount of tax, interest and penalty till March 31, 2023. She said that till March 31, 2023, all taxpayers with a tax liability of between one lakh rupees and one crore rupees can avail 100 percent discount on the amount of interest and penalty as well as 50 percent discount on the amount of tax. She said that under this scheme only taxpayers can apply, whose tax assessment has been done by the department till March 31, 2023. This scheme will be applicable till 15 March 2024.
