Assistant Commissioner (General) Vyom Bhardwaj said that the families of the freedom fighters who contributed to the independence of the country will not be allowed to face any problem from the district administration. He said that they will be given due respect in government offices and no family member will be allowed to face any difficulty. He was listening to the problems of the families of freedom fighters during the meeting held at the District Administrative Complex today. During this, while he reviewed the decisions taken in the previous meeting, he also instructed the concerned officials to solve the problems of the family members of the freedom fighters on an initiative basis.

The Assistant Commissioner said that the families of freedom fighters are respectable for the district administration and no family member will be allowed to face any kind of problem. He said that if any difficulty arises, it should be immediately brought to the notice of the administration. While instructing the heads of the departments, he said that the family members of the freedom fighters should be given full respect in the offices and it should be ensured that the problems are resolved on an initiative basis. During this, the families of the freedom fighters also submitted a demand letter in the name of the Chief Minister Punjab to the Assistant Commissioner.

On this occasion, heads of the families of freedom fighters were Avtar Singh, Purushottam Singh, Multan Singh, Diljit Singh, Sarbjit Singh, Ramesh Chand, Gurdeep Singh, Tarsem Kaur, Harbhajan Kaur, Gagandeep Singh, Hardeep Singh, Daljit Singh, Bipan Kumar, Parminder Singh. Cheema, Kulwant Singh, Narinder Singh were also present.
