 Punjab’s tableaux get warm welcome by people upon arrival in the city

 

Cabinet minister Jimpa showers flowers on tableaux and lauds chief minister for displaying them in the various parts of Punjab

 Tableaux displaying the rich and glorious history of the state today received a rousing reception in the city as people showered flowers on them at various points in the city. 

 

These tableaux include portrayer of Jallianwala Bagh incident, Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, Shaheed Udham Singh, Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Hardiyal, Sardar Ajit Singh, Baba Kharak Singh, Madan  Lal Dhingra, Dr. Diwan Singh Kalepani besides other great personalities.

 

Similarly, through the second tableau, a life-size statue of Mai Bhago – the great Sikh woman warrior was displayed to further emphasize women empowerment. Likewise, Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls has displayed portraits of successful girls who have earned fame in various fields.  Similarly, through the third tableau, a glimpse of the rich heritage and civilization of Punjab has been presented. 

Along with large number of people , Cabinet minister Bram Shankar Jimpa welcomed these tableaux upon its arrival in the city at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk.

 

Addressing the gathering, the cabinet minister said that the Punjab is a land of people who made maximum sacrifices besides making country self reliant in food security and its tableaux must to be included in the parade. 

He also thanked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for displaying these tableaux throughout the state so that the people should also get to know the rich cultural and legacy of Punjabis . 

After seeing these tableaux, people thanked the Punjab Government as they got a glimpse of the great glorious history of Punjab, the contribution of Punjabis in the freedom struggle and women empowerment.  

They also stated that this effort will prove to be a milestone in making our youth aware of the rich heritage of Punjab and the role of Punjabis in the freedom struggle.

Mayor Surinder Kumar, SSP  Surendra Lamba, Chairman Improvement Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh, Chairman The Hoshiarpur Central Cooperative Bank Vikram Sharma, ADC Rahul Chaba, SDM Preetinder Singh Bains and others were present.
