Students of Rayat Bahra Pharmacy College created awareness about free vaccination in slum area.

Students of Rayat Bahara Pharmacy College, under the chairmanship of Campus Director Dr. Chaner Mohan, made the people of the slum area aware about vaccination. On this occasion, Dr. Amit Sharma said that a child is considered fully immunized only when all the vaccines have been administered as per the National Immunization Program within the first year of the child's age. He said a series of vaccination programs were promoted such as free vaccination by college teachers and students as part of the universal vaccination program offered at government facilities. Dr. Amit said that the objective of the program was to increase awareness and dispel myths. He said that it is fully committed to conduct such programs for the welfare of the underprivileged people living in slum areas. On this occasion, students of B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy explained to the people living in slums about infectious diseases like hepatitis, diphtheria, tetanus. Students distributed leaflets containing information about the free government vaccination program to create awareness. On this occasion, under the social responsibility of making the deprived society aware about prevention from various infections, teachers conducted a survey and found that many children have not been vaccinated. This awareness program was co-ordinated by Prof. Ashita Pavaiya
