 Blind murder accused arrested by Hoshiarpur police within 24 hours = SSP Surender Lamba

Baljinder Kaur, resident of village Harshi police station Tanda of district Hoshiarpur, who lived alone in her house, was murdered in her home on 25th February.

To trace this blind murder, on the directions of SSP Surender Lamba SP Sarbjit Singh Bahia, DSP Harjeet Singh Randhawa, SI Raman Kumar police SHO Tanda, Inspector Gurpreet Singh in-charge from CIA. Various teams were formed and within 24 hours, the accused of this blind murder, Gurpreet Singh, son of Balwinder Singh was arrested.

Regarding this case, SSP Surendra Lamba told in the press conference at Police Line Hoshiarpur that the husband of the deceased Baljinder Kaur had got two marriages done. The wife of the first marriage was Satinder Kaur who had three children, including boy Gurpreet Singh  two girls Jaskaran Kaur and Manpreet Kaur, among whom Gurpreet Singh had already been evicted by her father Balwinder Singh, who was living on rent in Ghorewaha, while  the three children of Baljinder Kaur live abroad. Gurpreet Singh considered Baljinder Kaur as the reason behind his situation. He also wanted Baljinder Kaur to transfer her house to him and get him settled in a foreign country. Due to his wish not being fulfilled, he committed this incident.
