As per the instructions of Smt. Komal Mittal I.A.S., Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson, District Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Society, Hoshiarpur and under the leadership of Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Member Secretary District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur, a  Public Counselling and Guidance Session was conducted under mission smile at District Judicial Complex Hoshiarpur in which Parshant Aadia, Counsellor, Dr. Sandeep Kumari Psychologist cum Counsellor, Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur Psychiatric Social Worker cum Counsellor, Kiran Rani Staff Nurse, Harish Kumari Staff Nurse, Principal Rajesh Kumar Dhunna pt. J. R. Govt. Polytechnic College Hoshiarpur, Prof. Rupesh Kumar of Pharmacy Department and students were present  on the occasion . In this help desk Counsellors  District Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre Hoshiarpur said that he main objective of this Smile campaign is to create awareness among the masses at public places about the ill effects of drugs, causes of drug addiction and free treatment of drug addiction provided by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government  of Punjab. If any person among the general public needs drug counselling then he can get his counselling done. The main objective of this campaign is to bring smile on the faces of public.  Assistance under this campaign will be provided to those who voluntarily want to get out of the trap of drug addiction and improve  his life .  A smile and a ray of hope can be seen on the face of the family of a drug addict through this campaign.  On this occasion 189 persons gained knowledge about treatment of Drug Addiction and Prevention of Drug abuse from this Help Desk. Out of these 189 persons Counselling was provided to 10 persons, 10 persons were those who were leading a happy life after getting the treatment, 3 patients were relapsed bhu and were advised to get admit again. Students Ishkaran Singh, Sucha Singh, Abhi Kumar, Krishav Soni were also present on the occasion.
