Lamrin Tech Skills University organized A One-Day Awareness Program on PM Vishwakarma Scheme in association with Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises

To spread awareness about PM Vishwakarma Scheme, Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) in association with Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises organised a one-day awareness program on February 29, 2024 at LTSU campus.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation, with over 150 attendees from various government departments, including Rural Development, CSCS, DIC, LDM, Gram Panchayats and more. The scheme, since its inception, has garnered overwhelming support, with more than 97 lakh enrolments nationwide, and approximately 91,000 beneficiaries in Punjab alone.
Dignitaries present at the event included Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, Sh. Ravinder Kumar Bansal, PCS, SDM, Balachaur, Sh. Deepak Chechi, IEDS, Asstt Director, MSME-DFO Ludhiana, Sh. Krishan Kumar, IEDS, Asstt Director, MSME-DFO, Ludhiana, Sh. Harmesh Lal, LDM SBS Nagar, Sh. Mann Mohinder, GM-DIC SBS Nagar.
Speaking at the Session Dr. Parvinder Kaur emphasized the importance of leveraging Govt of India schemes like PM Vishwakarma for the benefit of artisans and craftspeople, highlighting the potential for holistic development. Dr. kaur also highlighted that LTSU being the first and only skill university of Punjab is working on the forefront of implementing the scheme in distt SBS Nagar. She mentioned that LTSU is also providing skill training to the beneficiaries under PM Vishwakarma scheme in 4 trades. Almost 200 beneficiaries have completed basic training and certification under the scheme in university.
SDM Sh. Bansal shared the Government's commitment to support the skilled workforce, outlining the collaborative efforts required for the success of initiatives like PM Vishwakarma. He also highlighted the commitment of District-level Administration in ensuring that the benefits of PM Vishwakarma reach the intended beneficiaries effectively.
Furthermore, Sh. Deepak Chechi provided insights into the implementation and impact of the PM Vishwakarma scheme, encouraging active participation from the attendees. He also shed light on the various support mechanisms available under the scheme, stressing the need for widespread awareness and enrolment.
The one-day program served as a platform for awareness, dialogue, collaboration and the exchange of ideas fostering a collective commitment to uplift artisans and craftspeople through the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
