 Tech Skills University (LTSU) Punjab celebrated International Women's Day in association with Central Reserve Police Force

Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) Punjab celebrated International Women's Day on March 6th, 2024 in association with Central Reserve Police Force and Lamrin Tech Skills University at the university campus. The female students from the university, principals from various colleges, women sarpanches and women from the nearby areas participated with great enthusiasm.


Mrs. Kamal Sisodia, Commandant of the 13th Battalion Central Reserve Police Force was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor of LTSU provided a brief overview of the program "Prerna," with the theme "Breaking Barriers, Building Future through Skills." She mentioned about importance of education and skill development for women. She specifically focussed that women need to be financially independent for better society.


During her address to the gathering, Chief Guest Smt. Kamal Sisodiya emphasized that women are integral part of society and are creators of life and originators of the world. She highlighted the worship of women as goddesses Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kali, Durga, etc. Mrs. Kamal Sisodiya raised awareness about the role of women power in CRPF and women's empowerment. She encouraged and inspired women to contribute to the defence of the country by joining the security forces in large number. Ms. Sisodia presented her book titled "Skill India Mission" to the Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor of the University. Chancellor, Dr. Kaura congratulated all the women on the occasion.


University also honoured the women employees and students for their achievements in various areas.

As part of the event, a free medical camp was organized under the supervision of Dr. Namrita Parmar and Dr. Manpreet Kaur, providing medical check-ups for women. 


Several faculty members from the university, including Professor B.S. Satyal (Registrar), Sh. Satbir Bajwa (Joint Registrar), Dr. Navneet Chopra (Dean Academics), along with all female faculty members and girl students were present at the event making it a memorable celebration of International Women's Day.
