Women must be aware and empowered as voters - DC Komal Mittal

A National Seminar on "Women Empowerment through Voter Awareness" was organized by NGO "A4C Dasuha" in collaboration with "Green Planet" Jalandhar and Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes Hoshiarpur at Rayat Bahra Campus Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, Hoshiarpur Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal participated as the Chief guest. Assistant Commissioner Divya P. IAS and Founder and Chairman of Green Planet participated as special guests.
Chief guest Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that even today women do not use their rights properly despite becoming panch-sarpanch, there is a need to recognize their role.
On this occasion, Divya P Assistant Commissioner Hoshiarpur said that women will have to be strengthened as voters along with the economy and recognize their role in the political process.
Dr. Kamaljit Singh Founder and Chairman Green Planet emphasized on voter awareness and women empowerment in his address.
Earlier Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes Hoshiarpur Campus Director Dr. Chandra Mohan formally welcomed the guests from the stage. Sanjiv Kumar, president of NGO "A4C Dasuya", introduced the guests and the topic.
On this occasion, a skit on voter awareness was also presented by the students of Rayat Bahra and a poster making competition was also organized.The book launch ceremony of the book written by Professor Dr. Kulwant Rana of DAV College Hoshiarpur was performed.
The guests who came on this occasion were also honored by giving a commemorative sign. Dr. Jyotsana Rayat Bahra Institutes Hoshiarpar played the role of moderator.
