   District Magistrate Komal Mittal using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) during the 'NEET (UG)-2024' examination to be held on 5th May 2024 in various centers of Hoshiarpur. Prohibition of gathering of 5 or more persons within a radius of 100 meters around the premises of examination centers has been issued.

In the issued order She said that the City Coordinator-NEET UG Hoshiarpur Kiranpreet Kaur Dhami has sent a copy of the semi-official letter issued by the Director General of the National Testing Agency Subodh Kumar Singh that it has been informed that on 5th May 2024, 'NEET (U. G)-2024' paper is being taken at centers established in district Hoshiarpur Sri Guru Harkrishna Senior Secondary School Pandori Khajoor and Army Public School Uchi Bassi Hoshiarpur.

She said that it has been observed that during the examination the relatives of the examinees and other persons etc. gather around the examination centers, due to which the smooth conduct of the examination may be disrupted and traffic problems may also arise. can Therefore, it becomes necessary that section 144 of CRPC be imposed within 100 meters of examination centers to conduct the examinations in a peaceful and orderly manner. These orders will remain in force from 5 May 2024 to 5 May 2024.
