*1500 police officials have been transferred in the Border Range

The State Government has formulated a Transfer Policy for Lower and Upper Subordinates. Sh. Gaurav Yadav, IPS, Director General of Police, Punjab has directed all the Range Officers and SSPs to implement the transfer policy approved by the State Government. 

In compliance with the directions of the DGP/Punjab, Rakesh Kaushal, IPS, DIG/Border Range/Amritsar had directed SSPs of the Border Range districts i.e. Amritsar-Rural, Batala, Gurdaspur and Pathankot to transfer the police officials within the districts as per the criteria/provisions laid down in the transfer policy. Similarly they were directed to examine the record of all the officials and send the recommendations regarding the officials required to be transferred out of districts as well out of Range.Accordingly, approximate 1500 police officials have been transferred in the Border Range, Amritsar as per the Transfer Policy and some further transfers will be done in the near future.
