- Commissioner Municipal Corporation warned those who misuse water

Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dr. Amandeep Kaur, while giving information, said that the city residents who have their water and sewerage connections without the approval of the Municipal Corporation, should get their illegal connections approved from the Municipal Corporation as soon as possible. She appealed to the city residents not to use water sprinklers in front of and around their houses nor wash their vehicles. She said that to stop the misuse of water, special teams have been formed by the Municipal Corporation, which are patrolling the city and taking action against those who misuse water as per the law.

The Commissioner Municipal Corporation said that from May 16, 2024 to June 14, 2024, 17 challans have been issued against those who misuse water, from which a fine of Rs 17 thousand has been collected. On behalf of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, an appeal was made to the citizens to not misuse water during the summer season due to the low water levels.
