As per the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Welcome and Help Center has been established in the Deputy Commissioner's Office to save the common people from trouble and to ensure that they get the benefits of government services in a transparent manner within the stipulated time. Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal said that the purpose of the Welcome and Help Center established in the Service Center of the District Administrative Complex is to help the common people in getting their government facilities/administrative work done so that they do not face problems due to lack of information and do not have to wait for a long time. She said that it is the duty of the district administration to provide transparent, accountable and effective administration to the common people, therefore all the officers have been directed to ensure that all citizen-centric services are provided to the people in a transparent and timely manner in government offices.

Komal Mittal said that the reception-cum-help desk centre will work on all working days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. People coming to the desk for work will be listened to and assisted in going to the concerned office. The members of the desk team will also inform the general public about the name of the officer and on which floor the office is located so that people do not get confused and do not go here and there in search of the concerned office.
