 Vikas Garg Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Punjab said that the current year rabi marketing season has been successfully conducted in a smooth manner.  In a special conversation with social worker and journalist Sanjiv Sharma, Vikas Garg IAS Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Punjab said that the Punjab government is fully committed to the welfare of the agricultural sector which is the backbone of the economic structure of Punjab.  In this season, 12.83 lakh metric tonnes of wheat arrived in one day and 12.47 lakh metric tonnes of wheat was procured on that day itself and more than Rs.28341.28 crores have been transferred to farmers' accounts.  In response to a question, he said that a record purchase of 124.56 lakh metric tonnes of wheat was made by the Food and Civil Supplies Department of Punjab this time, thus almost half of the central pool of India was purchased by the Food and Civil Supplies Department of Punjab.  He said that 13145 e-POS machines have been provided by the government and more than 42 lakh migrant workers have been registered on the e-Labor portal and they are under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).  ) will be able to benefit under
