Cabinet Minister Jimpa inaugurated the dining lounge and other development works at Model Town Club
- He had given a grant of Rs 5 lakh from his authority fund for the development works of the club
- He also inaugurated the plantation campaign started by the club by planting a sapling in the Model Town Club

Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa reached Model Town Club Hoshiarpur today and inaugurated the dining lounge and other development works of the club. He had given a grant of Rs 5 lakh to the club from his authority fund, with which development works were done in the club by the club committee. The Cabinet Minister said that Model Town Club is one of the prestigious clubs of the city which fulfills its social responsibilities very well from time to time. During this, he also started the environment conservation program campaign started by the club members with the help of Sonalika by planting a sapling in the premises of the club. He said that the club is playing an important role in keeping the environment clean. He appealed to the people to plant as many trees as possible during the monsoon season.
The Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab Government is standing shoulder to shoulder with all the organizations that play a social and environmental role. He assured all the members of the club that he will always contribute to the development of the club. He said that a plantation campaign has also been started in the city so that we can give a clean environment to the people. He said that the Municipal Corporation is working very diligently for the beautification of the city and the plantation campaign will play an important role in making the city beautiful.
Bram Shankar Jimpa said that plants are our lifeline and without them human life is not possible. He said that it is a matter of great happiness that all the social organizations in the city are planting trees, which is a very commendable step in terms of our environment. He said that as many trees as possible should be planted to save the environment. He said that along with planting trees, it is also important to take care of them and keep them alive. He appealed to the people to plant trees in the memory of their children's birthdays and elders. This creates a special attachment with the plant. On this occasion, A.S.K. Pomra from Sonalika, Club President Parminder Cheema, Vice President Rajiv Ohri, General Secretary Gurpal Singh, Executive Member Mr. Janjua Kuldeep Kohli, AK Sethi, Baljit Singh, Dr. Verma, Vikas Agarwal, Dolly Cheema, Yog Raj Takra, Dr. Balwinder Singh, Dr. Swati (SMO), Harish Thakur, Malikyat Maheru, Colonel Surjit Singh, Vivek Sahni, Mr. Bahadur Singh, Rachna Kaur, Mrs. Bindra, KL Khullar, Kamaljit Kataria, Advocate Amarjot Saini were also present.
