 - E-KYC mandatory to continue benefits of PM Kisan Samman Yojana: Deputy Commissioner

Farmers of district Hoshiarpur are benefiting under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana run by the Government of India to boost the economic level of farmers. Under this scheme, financial assistance of 6000 rupees is provided to the farmers annually, which is transferred to the farmers' accounts in three installments of 2 thousand rupees each. To continue the benefit of this scheme, the beneficiary farmer must get his E-KYC done.

Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that since the inception of the scheme 17 installments have been successfully deposited in the accounts of farmers. According to the instructions of the Government of India, it is mandatory for the beneficiaries of the scheme to get their E-KYC, which can be done from their nearest service center. She said that about 30,274 beneficiaries have E-KYC padding in the district. She appealed to all the farmers of the district to get their E-KYC from nearby service centers or CSC centers as soon as possible to continue benefiting from the scheme. She said that in case of not doing so, the financial amount received under the scheme will be stopped. She said that for any information regarding the scheme, the beneficiaries can contact their nearest block agriculture office.
