- Cabinet Minister planted saplings under Nanak Baghi Project in collaboration with Forest Department and IMA near Bassi Jana Forest Rest House

The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is fully committed to environment conservation for the welfare of future generations. For this purpose, steps are being taken at the ground level. This was disclosed by Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa while planting saplings under Nanak Baghi Project in collaboration with Forest Department and Indian Medical Association (IMA) near Bassi Jana Forest Rest House. During this 500 saplings were planted. Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Forest Officer North Circle Hoshiarpur Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, DFO Nalin Yadav, State President of IMA Dr. Sunil Katyal, State Secretary Dr. B.S. Johal, Finance Secretary Dr. R.S Bal, IMA District President Dr. Balwinderjit Singh, Secretary Dr. Sandeep Singh, Finance Secretary Dr. Amit Gupta and doctors from state and local IMA units were also present.


The Cabinet Minister said that Nanak Baghichiya is playing an important role in the purity of the environment. He said that everyone should take a pledge to plant trees in their lives under the campaign, only then the environment can be saved. He said that the balance of the environment is deteriorating so much that concrete arrangements are needed, in which plantation comes first because plants give oxygen and the climate remains balanced.


Bram Shankar Jimpa said that making the state a green and developed state is the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that along with planting trees, it is also the responsibility of all of us to take care of them. He said that plantation has special importance to keep the environment clean and balanced, so we should also fulfill our responsibility towards environmental protection by planting as many trees as possible.


He said that plants are our lifeline and human life is not possible without them. On this occasion Dr. Rajinder Sharma, Range Officer Jatinder Singh, Varinder Vaidya and other dignitaries were also present.
