Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/july 31
On the occasion of inauguration of cyber crime police station of district Hoshiarpur, SSP Surender Lamba during a special conversation with senior journalist Daljeet Ajnoha told what is cyber crime and how people can avoid it. He told that for some time now, cunning people are cheating innocent people by adopting different methods, in which they first take complete information from you by making fake mobile calls, then on the basis of that they make up some story and demand money and many people get trapped by their words and give money, later they come to know that they have been cheated and to carry out such incidents, cunning thugs sometimes call from abroad posing as relatives, sometimes police officers and give account number, also give Paytm and many times even pretend to be from outside India. They also threaten to be from another state's police and nowadays every person has uploaded their complete details of their phone number. This is also beneficial for these smart people. They use this to withdraw money from the bank, while the account holder comes to know about it later. They steal the phone and carry out such incidents. SSP Surender Lamba said that if anyone receives an unknown call, do not okay it from the front, okay it from the side. Many people, mostly unknown women, call at night and as soon as your face appears, they have installed such a system on their mobile that as soon as the phone is switched on, your photo appears, and then these smart people will make obscene photos or videos and send them to you, then threaten and demand money. He said that many people have also committed suicide in such cases. Therefore, to avoid cyber crime, every person in the society should be alert and if any such incident happens with anyone, then definitely inform the family members, close friends and the police so that cyber crime can be eradicated from the society. Regarding traffic, he said that the police is making all possible efforts to keep the traffic system in order. He said that the tree plantation campaign started by the police is also continuing, under which trees are being planted at various places and the police is taking strict action in the campaign against drugs. He appealed to the people that if any cyber crime happens with anyone, information about it should be immediately given to the cyber police station, so that the police can trace it quickly. Other police officers were present on this occasion.
