Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa and MP Dr. Rajkumar Chabbewal today reached the mortuary of Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur and met the families of the victims of the flood accident in Jaijon Choa and expressed condolences and deep condolences.

Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa expressed deep condolences on this accident and said, this incident is very painful and we stand with the affected families in this hour of grief. He said that the Punjab Government will provide all possible help to the affected families. He said that in this tragic accident, an Innova car, in which 12 people were travelling, was swept away in the strong current of water. 9 people died tragically in this accident, while two people are still missing. One person has been rescued. He said that under the leadership of SDM Garhhankar and DSP Garhshankar, a team of SDRF and people from nearby villages is being formed to search for both the missing people and announcements are also being made in the villages. Apart from this, an attempt has been made to find them by calling sniffer dogs but the missing people have not been found yet. He said that the district administration has worked very fast and seriously in this entire matter and he hopes that the missing people will be found soon.

MP Dr. Rajkumar Chabbewal also expressed deep grief over this tragic incident and said that the government is working with full seriousness in this matter. He said that we are making every possible effort to search for the missing people in this accident. Along with this, concrete steps will be taken to prevent such accidents in future. Both the leaders said on this occasion that the government will provide financial assistance to the affected families and strengthen security measures in the area, so that such incidents do not recur in future. On this occasion, Civil Hospital SMO Dr. Swati Sheemar, Dr. Manmohan Singh were also present.
