- Said, a new era of sports has begun in Punjab

Punjab Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa today formally inaugurated the renovation of the stadium in village Shergarh. The cost of this important project is about Rs 17 lakh and its aim is to convert the stadium into a modern sports park. Under the renovation, badminton, volleyball and basketball courts will be built in the stadium. Apart from this, a beautiful track for walking and benches for sitting will also be installed which will be covered from above so that people can sit here even during the rainy season.

Highlighting the ambition of this project, the Cabinet Minister announced that after its completion, a children's park will also be established here. This children's park will provide a safe and suitable place for children to play. He directed the officials that there should be no shortage in the quality of work and all the construction work should be completed as per the standard.

Bram Shankar Jimpa said that the completion of this renovation project would not only improve the sports field of village Shergarh but it would also encourage sports activities for the local youth and children, which would help in their physical and mental development. He said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has taken the initiative of setting up sports parks, which aims to keep the youth of the state away from drugs and motivate them towards sports. He assured that no stone would be left unturned in this direction and also thanked the Chief Minister.

Mayor Surinder Kumar, BDPO Sukhwinder Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Hardeep Saroa, Sandesh Kumar, Mohan Lal, Yograj Bains, Sarpanch Jagar, Nirmal Fauji, Tek Raj, Panch Paramjit Kaur, Panch Hardev Singh, Roshan Lal, Harvinder Singh, Daulat Ram, Pawan, Avtar Tari, Pritpal and Ashok Pehlwan were also present on the occasion.
