 District's first model coaching center will prove to be a boon for students of economically weaker sections/Bram Shankar Jimpa

- Cabinet Minister inaugurated the center opened by Child Welfare Council and Red Cross Society in Government School Ajjowal

- Sonalika Development Society made a significant contribution

- Free coaching will be given to children of medical and non-medical stream of class XI, XII in the coaching center

- In future, free coaching will also be given for IIT, NEET and JEE

Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa inaugurated the district's first model coaching center in Government Senior Secondary Smart School Ajjowal (near Verka Milk Plant), Hoshiarpur. This coaching center has been established by Child Welfare Council and District Red Cross Society Hoshiarpur, in which Sonalika Development Society has special cooperation. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, Mayor Surinder Kumar, SDM Sanjeev Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjita Chaudhary and Red Cross Society Secretary Mangesh Sood were also present with him.

Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa said that this coaching center is an important initiative for the students of slum and economically weaker sections. Here free coaching will be given to the students of medical and non-medical stream of class XI and XII, so that they can prepare for competitive examinations in future and get higher education. He said that in future, preparation for difficult examinations like IIT, NEET and JEE will also be done in this center, so that these children will get an opportunity to fully develop their abilities. Apart from this, career counseling will also be done to solve the problems faced by the students in course selection after XII.

The Cabinet Minister specially thanked Sonalika Industries for its cooperation in this project. He said that this initiative of Sonalika has given a new hope to the economically weaker students and this initiative will prove to be helpful in bringing positive change in the society.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairperson District Red Cross Society, Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal informed that this coaching center will be operated in collaboration with Child Welfare Council and Red Cross Hoshiarpur. Experienced teachers have been selected for this project and morning and evening classes will be organized as per the convenience of the students. She emphasized that any needy student of class XI or XII of medical or non-medical stream of the district can get coaching in this coaching center free of cost.

During this program, Secretary of District Red Cross Society Mangesh Sood and other members of the Society honored the Cabinet Minister and other dignitaries by presenting plants.

On this occasion, District Education Officer (Secondary) Lalita Arora, Sr. V.P. of Sonalika were present. CSR Jagatjit Singh Chauhan, DGM Legal & PR Sonalika Rajneesh Sandal, Incharge Government Senior Secondary School Ajjowal Sharanjit Kaur, Lecturers Sandeep Sood, Bahadur Singh Sunet, Suman Bahl, Kamaljit Bahl and Red Cross Society members Rajiv Bajaj, Vinod Ohri, Sneh Jain, Kumkum Sood and other staff members were also present.
