A special meeting of the journalist Organised  under the leadership of senior journalist Gurnam Singh Bains in which journalists of Dateline Mahilpur participated. On this occasion Press Club Mahilpur was formed. In which Paramjit Singh Bhuno was unanimously elected President and Baljinder Mann was elected Patron, Gurnam Singh Chairman, Satnam Loi Vice President, Rajinder Singh General Secretary, Sukhwinder Saffri Secretary, Jasvir Virdi Media Secretary, Chanchal Verma Media Secretary, Nirmal Singh Muggowal Cashier and Mohit Kumar Assistant Cashier. On this occasion all the journalists decided to work with mutual love and brotherhood in Press Club Mahilpur.
