 Third National Lok Adalat to be held on 14th September/Rajpal Rawal CJM/Secretary District Legal Services Authority

National Legal Services Authority, as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi, as per the orders of Hon'ble Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar, under the leadership of Shri Raj Pal Rawal, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal, Shri Dilbag Singh Johal Hon'ble District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur, the Third National Lok Adalat of the year 2024 is being organized on 14th September at the district level and sub-division level. Regarding this Lok Adalat, Raj Pal Rawal, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur ji is making every possible effort to make people aware, for which meetings are also being held from time to time with the undersigned. Department heads have been given guidelines to do maximum publicity so that people can be made more aware and they can get more benefits by keeping as many pre-litigation cases as possible in Lok Adalats.

Apart from this, seminars are being organized every day in different villages, cities, schools and colleges etc. to make people aware about the benefits of filing a case in Lok Adalat so that people can get maximum information about legal services. The help provided by them will save them time and money and will also get rid of frequent visits to the courts. Following the order of the undersigned regarding this Lok Adalat, PLV has put up banners at public places to make people aware.

Apart from this, the undersigned has also issued guidelines from time to time regarding maximum publicity regarding availing the benefits of Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services) so that people can avail maximum benefits of public utility services. As per Section 22-(B) of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987, in the Permanent Lok Adalat, cases of various public utility services such as transport services, post, telegraph, telephone, hospital or dispensary services, insurance services, banking services, education services, old age pension, Shagan Yojana etc. are filed and disposed of in a very short time, thereby saving people from trouble.

It is also worth mentioning here that the CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur has made the public aware in every way through print media and electronic media.

It is being said that no human being can be deprived of the public court and the benefits of everyone.
