 Under the campaign being run by the district police against drug abuse, 15 accused were arrested from August 1 to August 9/SSP Surender Lamba

Under the directions of SSP Hoshiarpur Surender Lamba IPS District Hoshiarpur, under the able leadership of SP Sarabjit Singh Bahia, SP Manoj Kumar, SP Navneet Kaur and SHOs of various police stations, police parties were formed in various police stations of the district to eliminate drug abuse from August 1 to August 9. They achieved great success in arresting 15 culprits selling drugs and 12 cases were registered against them in various police stations and heroin, poppy husk and opium were recovered from them. Apart from this, seminars were organized in various police station areas and the general public was told that if any person or woman sells any kind of drug around them, then they can inform about it by calling on mobile number 95016-60318. The name and address of the informer will also be kept confidential.
