 Cabinet Minister Jimpa inaugurated the Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight of Eye Donation Association

Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa inaugurated the Eye Donation Awareness Campaign of Eye Donation Association Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur under the 39th National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight. On this occasion, emphasizing the importance of eye donation, he said that the Eye Donation Association has been doing selfless service for the last 25 years. The association has done important work to make people aware about eye donation by organizing various seminars and awareness programs across the state.

The Cabinet Minister said in his address that eye donation is a great service, which can fill someone's world with light. He said that to free the country from corneal blindness, we all should be aware of eye donation and inspire others. He said that a small initiative of the people can bring a big change in someone's life. Therefore, everyone should participate in this noble work and inspire more and more people to donate eyes.

Patron of Netra Daan Association, Prof. Bahadur Singh Sunet said that on this occasion Mayor Surind Kumar filled the pledge form for eye donation while Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa has already filled the pledge form for eye donation. Addressing the people present in the program, Prof. Sunet said that the main objective of the association is to make the country free from corneal blindness. He said that corneal blindness is a condition in which the vision of a person becomes weak and he becomes unable to see. Eye donation is an important measure to improve this condition.

Prof. Sunet appealed to every section of the society and said that if any person is suffering from corneal blindness, then he can contact Netra Daan Association Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur. The association will bear the entire cost of treatment of such patients itself, so that maximum number of people can be provided with vision and their lives can be filled with light.

Many prominent personalities like city Mayor Surinder Kumar, Varinder Sharma Bindu, Baljit Singh Panesar, Harbhajan Singh, Santosh Saini, Harvinder Singh, Sarwan Singh, Harvinder Kaur and Dr. Krishan Lal were also present on the occasion.
