 District Magistrate Komal Mittal ordered various restrictions in the district

 District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal has issued various restrictive orders in the district using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023. In these orders, no person shall carry arms in public gatherings, places of worship, marriage parties/marriages, marriage palaces or other functions in District Hoshiarpur and there will be complete ban on exhibition of arms through public/social media and also arms or There will also be a complete ban on playing songs that glorify violence. Legal action will be taken against the person who violates the order. Apart from this, the owners of the marriage palaces should ensure that no person will use a weapon during the function in the marriage palaces.

 Apart from this, according to the order issued by the District Magistrate, no person or Panchayat or Nagar Council or Nagar Panchayat in the rural and urban areas of District Hoshiarpur shall fill ponds without prior written approval of the concerned Sub-Mandal Magistrate.

 The District Magistrate has banned any kind of procession, gathering of five or more persons, raising slogans, carrying sticks, unlicensed weapons, sharp edged weapons etc. within the district limits without the permission of the Sub Divisional Magistrate. . This order will not apply to government functions, conferences and meetings etc. A written approval from the concerned SDM is also necessary for any political party to hold a rally/jalsa. This order will not apply to Punjab Police, Home Guards, other employees on official duty and marriages, funerals or official functions/meetings.

 By issuing another order, the District Magistrate has also banned illegal boring in the streets/roads in all the villages of the district.

 District Magistrate Komal Mittal has also banned unauthorized storage, transportation, use or sale of cement in Hoshiarpur district. This ban applies to all veterinary institutions including animal hospitals/dispensaries and polyclinics of Animal Husbandry Department, Punjab, Artificial Insemination Centers run by Animal Husbandry Department Punjab, Milkfed and College of Veterinary Science, Gadvasu Ludhiana, any other artificial insemination center which is animal husbandry. Department, processing and using Bovine Semen supplied or imported by Punjab, shall not apply to members of Progressive Dairy Farms Association, Punjab who have imported Bovine Semen only for the use of their cattle.

 District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal has issued orders in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code 2023 that no person / social or religious organization in public gatherings, places of worship, marriage parties or other functions. Do not give hate speech or use slang language against any community. In case of doing so, legal action will be taken against the person concerned / violator. All the said orders will remain in force till November 8, 2024.
