 Punjab Assembly's Estimates Committee studied Surface Water Project Talwara

- Reviewed the development works going on in the district and gave instructions

The Estimates Committee of Punjab Assembly today inspected the Surface Water Project going on in Talwara. The committee was led by Deputy Speaker and Chairman Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, which also included Dasuya MLA Karambir Singh Ghumman, Sujanpur MLA Naresh Puri, Ludhiana MLA Jiwan Singh Sangowal and officials of Punjab Assembly Secretariat. The main objective of this visit was to inspect the progress of the project and discuss future plans.

After the study, Estimates Committee Chairman Jai Krishan Singh Rouri reviewed in detail the various development works going on in the district. During this review, he directed the concerned officials to expedite the development works and complete all the projects in a timely manner. He also said that transparency and quality should be ensured in the development works, so that the public can get maximum benefit from these projects.

The committee also took note of other ongoing projects in the district during its visit and directed the officers to regularly submit the status reports of the projects.

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, who was present on the occasion, assured the Estimates Committee that all development works in the district would be carried out with full transparency as per the directions of the committee. She also said that the quality of the ongoing projects was being monitored and it was being ensured that there was no laxity or irregularity. She said that all the projects would be completed expeditiously for the welfare of the public. SSP Surinder Lamba, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba, Deputy Secretary of Vidhan Sabha Balbir Kaur, Assistant Information Officer Tarsem Lal, besides group SDMs of the district and heads of all departments were present on the occasion.
