 Secretary District Legal Services Authority made a surprise visit to Old Age Home, Ram Colony Camp

As per the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar Mohali and under the leadership of District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rwal made a surprise visit to Old Age Home, Ram Colony Camp.

On this occasion, Secretary District Legal Services Authority while giving information about free legal aid to the elderly living in Old Age Home said that free legal services are provided by Hon'ble Supreme Court, Legal Services Committee, Hon'ble Punjab & Haryana Legal Services Committee and District Legal Services Authority at district level and by Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committees at sub-divisional level. He said that the benefit of free legal aid can be availed only by the person whose annual income is less than Rs.3 lakh or who comes under the category of Scheduled Caste/Beggar Maria/Exiled/Child/Woman/Disabled/Mentally ill and Industrial worker. He said that senior citizens are informed about the schemes run by the Authority.

Apart from the above, tree plantation drive (01.07.2024 to 30.09.2024) was carried out by Secretary District Legal Services Authority and Lions Club, Hoshiarpur in view of “Ek Mata Maa Ke Naam” campaign by the Hon’ble Supreme Court to keep the environment clean. Various types of plants were also planted to keep the Old Age Home, Ram Colony Camp,
