Selection of HDCA's Surabhi Narayan and Anjali Sheemar in Punjab Under-19 women's cricket team is a matter of pride for Hoshiarpur district. Giving information in this regard, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said that the selection of Surabhi Narayan, a class 10 student of Woodland School and Anjali Sheemar, a BA-1 student of Government College Hoshiarpur, in the Punjab team will help HDCA in taking women's cricket to new heights in Hoshiarpur. Dr. Ghai said that the selection of these two players will inspire other women players to work harder. Dr. Ghai said that the Punjab Under-19 team will first play a campaign match with Himachal Under-19 team from 17 to 24 September and after that the Punjab team will leave to participate in the BCCI Under-19 Cricket Tournament from 1 October. On the selection of Surabhi and Anjali, Dr. Ghai said that due to the hard work of district women coach Davinder Kalyan and district trainer former national cricketer Kuldeep Dhami, women players are presenting their claim by participating in Punjab caps of every category. On this occasion, HDCA President Dr. Daljit Singh Khelan, Vivek Sahni, Dr. Pankaj Shiv and the group SDCA wished the players good luck for their good performance in future as well. District coach Daljit Singh, Daljit Dhiman, Ashok Sharma, Madan Lal and others congratulated Surabhi and Anjali on their selection.
