District Legal Services Authority organised ‘Vidhan se Samadhan’ programme

As per the directions of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar and under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur Dilbag Singh Johal, CJM-cum-Secretary Raj Pal Rwal organised ‘Vidhan se Samadhan’ programme at Goswami Ganesh Dutt Sanatan Dharma College, Hariana, Block-Bhunga. The aim of the programme was to make women aware of legal aid and rights.
A large number of women participated in this legal awareness programme. The programme was addressed by State Women Commission Member Kiranpreet Kaur Dhami and Advocate Renu, who informed the women and girl students of the Women Cell of the college about their legal rights.
Special information about Victim Compensation Schemes was shared by CJM-cum-Secretary Raj Pal Rwal. He informed that stickers of National Legal Services Authority's toll free number 15100 were distributed to the staff and students for the benefit of free legal services. He also informed that anyone can contact this toll free number and get free legal aid.
The women who participated in the program were given certificates of appreciation by the Legal Services Authority. Staff members of the District Legal Services Authority were also present on this occasion, who helped in organizing the program successfully.
