*District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia told senior journalist Daljeet Ajnoha during a special conversation that under the campaign being run against adulteration, samples are being taken from various places and in view of the upcoming festivals, checking is being done in sweet shops and other food factories and he told that all shopkeepers are being asked not to adulterate and he has also warned the adulterators that if any case or information of adulteration comes to his notice and it is found to be true, then a case will be registered against the accused person. Strict legal action will be taken against them. He said that in the coming time, the teams of the Health Department are continuously checking the people making jaggery on the roadside. He also said that the people running the rolling machines have also been told not to start making jaggery until the Agriculture Officer says that the sugarcane crop is ready to make jaggery.
