Under the special campaign "Har Shukravar
Dengue Te Vaar" launched by Health Minister Punjab Dr. Balbir Singh to prevent the spread of dengue, dengue survey teams formed at the block level under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar and Dr. Jawinderwant Singh Bains (SMO) Block Paldi conducted dengue survey and awareness camps by going door to door in educational institutions, nursing colleges and villages.
During these awareness camps organized by the health teams, larvae of dengue mosquitoes were also shown so that common people can easily identify dengue. Only after identification, a person will be able to protect himself and the society by adopting various methods of protection.
Awareness camps were organized in various educational institutions, nursing colleges apart from 302 houses by 11 dengue survey teams and 4 breeder checkers appointed in urban area Mahilpur and a video message released by the Health Minister Punjab was also shown.
During the campaign, the larvae found by the survey teams were destroyed on the spot. People were also encouraged to wear full clothes in the morning and evening and to not allow clean water to collect around them.
