Free driving classes for girls started in Hoshiarpur

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal flagged off free driving classes for needy girls on Tuesday under the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the aim of these free driving classes is to make girls self-reliant so that they can take their own decisions. She informed that in this financial year, a total of 120 girls will be given driving training in three groups, in which the first two groups will have 45-45 girls and one group will have 30 girls.
Komal Mittal appealed to the girls receiving training to take advantage of this opportunity and become empowered by increasing their confidence. District Program Officer Hardeep Kaur, CDPO Hoshiarpur-1 Ravinder Kaur, CDPO were present on the occasion. Hoshiarpur-2 Daya Rani and CDPO-cum-District Social Security Officer Manpreet Singh along with the girl students attending the driving classes were also present.
