In view of the Chabbewal assembly by-election, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today addressed big public meetings in Pandori Kad and Bahowal in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Ishank Kumar. In his address, he asked the people of the constituency to use their votes wisely, thay they all know who did what and who is working for your benefit. Akali and Congress have captured power alternately and served their own interests due to which the state has not developed, now is the time to clean the dirt spread in politics, give a chance to those people who come among you, can understand your pain and needs.

Expressing gratitude for the presence of a large number of women on this occasion, the Chief Minister said, "Without women, neither any home nor any country can run. It is an honour for us to have all of you here." And assured that Rs 1100 will be given to women soon.

He made it clear in his speech that his aim is to make politics a means of service and not a business. He assured that whatever demands of the Chabbewal assembly constituency, Dr. Ishank and he will bring to me, they will be approved immediately. Not only Chabbewal, we will build libraries in the entire state and prepare our youth for exams like UPSC so that our children can reach higher positions by staying here instead of going abroad. He said that it has always been his dream that there should be employment in every house, there should be light, the food in every plate and every family should be happy. Thanking the Chief Minister on the occasion and addressing the residents of the Chabbewal constituency, Dr Ishank said that the Aam Aadmi Party is a party born out of struggle and this party has understood the importance of hard work and I am proud to be its member. This is the party which has honest leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, due to whose hard work and honesty a new wave of development has come in Punjab. Discussing the Chabbewal area, Dr Ishank said that his family has served the area for years under the leadership of Dr Raj Kumar. He said that I consider myself fortunate that I got the opportunity to learn the spirit of service and honesty from my father.

Referring to several schemes for the development of the area, he said, "Bringing industries here, providing employment, Opening ITI. Polytechnic College, setting up of big Community health centres in villages on the lines of the hospital in Harta-Badla to provide emergency services, 10,000 new smart ration cards and Ayushman cards will be made and the families who still have thatched roofs will soon be given funds for concrete roofs. The roads leading to all the Gurudwaras and Deras will be made 18 feet wide.

He told the people present that a grant of Rs 70 crore has been sanctioned for the Chabbewal area in the last three months and the work is going on at a fast pace. He said that the Chief Minister has also promised that whatever work needs to be done in Chabbewal will be approved immediately. He said that MP Dr. Raj Kumar is also from Chabbewal and now if you also choose your MLA, then the work here will be done at double the speed. On this occasion, Dr Raj thanked the Chief Minister as well as the people and said that I am confident that just as you have given me your support, now you will also give Dr Ishank a chance to serve you.
