Jarnail Singh, a celebrated star in Punjabi cinema, has won hearts across generations with his diverse roles. Whether tickling audiences with laughter in Jatt & Juliet 2 and Disco Singh or inspiring them with intense performances in Arjan and Harjeeta, Singh has proven his mettle as one of the industry’s most versatile actors.

In an exclusive interview, Singh opened up about his rise to fame, the challenges of switching genres, and his aspirations for the future.

“My journey began with a deep love for storytelling,” Singh reflected. Though he never initially saw cinema as a career, his early passion and small projects eventually paved the way for stardom. “I never imagined I’d be here, but life had other plans,” he said with a smile.

Known for his impeccable comedic timing in iconic hits like Jatt & Juliet 2 and Disco Singh, Singh shared insights into his approach to humor. “Comedy is all about timing and authenticity. I try to make characters relatable, bringing in elements of my personality,” he revealed. Collaborating with directors and cast members, he said, helps him fine-tune his craft.

Talking about his Journey Into Emotional Depth, Transitioning to serious roles in films such as Arjan and the biopic Harjeeta was not without its challenges. “Each role required me to tap into different parts of myself,” Singh said. For Arjan, he worked to convey emotional depth, while Harjeeta demanded intense research to portray hockey player Harjeet Singh Tuli authentically. “It’s always a challenge to play real-life figures, but it’s equally rewarding,” he noted.

Singh called Harjeeta one of his most inspiring projects. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film tells the story of a young hockey player overcoming adversity to achieve greatness. “Being part of such a motivational story was an honor,” Singh shared, noting the film’s global resonance and acclaim.

With Punjabi cinema gaining international recognition, Singh expressed pride in the industry’s progress. “Filmmakers are exploring bold, diverse narratives, and the global audience is taking notice. It’s an exciting time for Punjabi cinema,” he said.

While keeping details under wraps, Singh teased his upcoming ventures, promising roles that would challenge and redefine him. “Stay tuned,” he said with a grin, hinting at big surprises for his fans.
