Highlights of the Convocation Ceremony at Rayat Bahra Education City

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria emphasized the role of education in fostering service to society and humanity during the convocation ceremony at Rayat Bahra Education City. Degrees were conferred upon 438 students, including 374 undergraduates and 64 postgraduates.
The Governor highlighted the importance of education, culture, and employment, citing Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's belief in education as the most powerful weapon. He praised the New Education Policy-2020 for its focus on holistic and skill-based development and called for greater emphasis on research and sports to combat societal challenges like drug abuse.
Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra lauded the students' hard work and encouraged them to contribute to society through education. Campus Director Dr. Chander Mohan provided details about the ceremony, with degrees awarded across disciplines such as pharmacy, engineering, nursing, B.Ed, law, and management.
The event saw the presence of prominent dignitaries, including MLA Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar, former MP Avinash Rai Khanna, former Cabinet Minister Tikshan Sood, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, SSP Surendra Lamba, Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Dr. Rajiv Sood, Vice Chancellor of Punjab Technical University Prof. Sushil Mittal, SDM Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar, Vice Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group Gurinder Singh Bahra, Sahila Bhamra, MD of Preet Tractors Sukhwinder Singh were present in the ceremony.
